Happitat has officially opened in Bangkok, Thailand, offering a new destination that combines retail, nature, dining, lifestyle, entertainment and immersive experiences.
The mixed-use destination blends architecture, nature, hospitality and digital entertainment, offering an experience-led alternative to traditional retail destinations.
Located at Bangna Km. 7, the destination has been developed by CP Axtra Public Company Limited (CP Axtra) and covers more than 200,000 sq m.

According to Breaking Travel News, Happitat features three main buildings, including Bloominas, a premium lifestyle hub, Wonderwild, a space for children and families, and Festie Town, an entertainment hub in a semi-outdoor setting.
Happitat is also home to Whimsical Market, featuring more than 60 restaurants and cafés, Happitat characters, and a light-and-sound show.
The immersive offering includes The Butterfly Trail and Forest of Time, both designed to encourage visitor interaction.
Created by borabora Studios, a creative technology studio based in Cologne and Barcelona, Forest of Time is a large-scale interactive experience on Happitat’s Grand Stairs, featuring a 385 sq m indoor digital display.
Described as one of Southeast Asia’s largest and highest-resolution installations, visitors use smartphones to help restore a digital ecosystem, revealing endangered and extinct Southeast Asian wildlife and learning about each species via a digital Forest Codex.

The Butterfly Trail, created by Pixel Artworks, is an immersive mixed-reality experience where visitors use their smartphones to release digital butterflies into the environment. It marks the experience's debut in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Happitat's opening comes as the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) prepares to launch "The Year of Transformation" as the country's strategic tourism direction for 2027.
The strategy aims to position Thailand as "Asia’s No.1 High-Value & Meaningful Destination".
"The Year of Transformation"
Ms Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, said: "The Year of Transformation is a clear commitment to reshape Thai tourism around quality, value and long-term competitiveness.
"We’ve moved beyond volume alone, using Thailand’s distinctive strengths to create experiences that earn traveller loyalty, distribute income more widely and generate sustainable value.
"Through these four Strategic Moves, TAT is sharpening the country’s tourism ecosystem to innovate, compete and deliver a stronger future."
