Halloween Horror Nights includes a new experience based on the Evil Dead franchise

Universal Studios Hollywood has unveiled the full line-up for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, including a haunted house inspired by gruesome 2023 film Evil Dead Rise.

The new experience based on the Evil Dead horror franchise joins previously announced haunted houses inspired by The Last of Us, Stranger Things season 4, The Exorcist: Believer, Universal’s classic monsters, and Chucky.

The remaining two haunted houses are ‘Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America’ and ‘Holidayz in Hell’.

The former, as the name suggests, features ghosts and creatures from Latin American folklore. The latter takes guests on a terrifying trip through some psychotic seasonal celebrations.

As for the theme park‘s ‘Terror Tram’ attraction, this year guests will find themselves in the middle of an insect uprising led by Larry Larva, who wants to exterminate all humans.

Themed dining outlets for 2023 include Surfer Boy Pizza from Stranger Things, a Chucky-themed BBQ restaurant, and a bar serving themed cocktails from The Purge and Chucky.

Additionally, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be open during Halloween Horror Nights – and Lord Voldemort’s Death Eaters will be seen around Hogsmeade village.

Halloween Horror Nights runs select nights from 7 September through 31 October at Universal Studios Hollywood.

At Universal Orlando Resort, Halloween Horror Nights takes place from 1 September until 4 November. There will be 10 haunted houses, five scare zones and live entertainment.

Elsewhere, Mall of America and haunted attractions company American Monsters are opening a new world-class Halloween experience called Onionhead’s Revenge.

In the Chicago area, an interactive haunt experience called Terror Roulette is launching in time for Halloween – and guests will be required to sign a waiver.
