RWS Global, a leading producer of live experiences, has collaborated with Big Cedar Lodge, the leading wilderness resort in the US. The two organisations are working together to create a magical Christmas experience that will enchant visitors of all ages.
This seasonal partnership combines Big Cedar Lodge’s countryside charm with the expert theatrical knowledge of RWS Global, and promises to bring the Spirit of Christmas to life in an extraordinary experience. Guests can expect a compelling blend of festive customs and contemporary entertainment that will be remembered for years to come.
Craig Laurie, chief creative officer of RWS Global, says: “When you enter the property, no matter what season, you are transported to a magical place, but this holiday we have created experiences you will never forget.
“At Top of the Rock, we take you on a story – a journey of history, culture, light and sound and when you get to Big Cedar, we celebrate the traditions that everyone loves, and it all comes with amazing Instagrammable moments. It truly is a holiday experience that you cannot get anywhere else.”
Memorable experience
The Christmas Experience will include large-scale holiday sculptures and a new Nativity scene, as well as sculptures inspired by animals from the Ozarks, including elk, bears, bison and deer. The experience is guided by a new, unique soundtrack on the guest tram tour.
At Top of the Rock, the resort’s heritage preserve, visitors can look forward to more than two and a half miles of interweaving lights, sculptures and stories, and enormous animal sculptures that soar to three stories in height. In addition, the experience features an original soundtrack with Native American influences and traditional holiday themes, and a bar located in a natural cave.
Debbie Bennett, president of hospitality at Bass Pro Shops, comments: “The partnership between Big Cedar Lodge and RWS Global truly embodies the holiday spirit. Our collaborative efforts have created an unparalleled Christmas Experience for our guests, offering them a memorable way to celebrate the season with their loved ones.”
The Christmas Experience at Big Cedar Lodge, in collaboration with RWS Global, is taking place until 31 December. In addition, selected winter offerings will extend through February 2024.
At Big Cedar Lodge, tickets for the Home for the Holidays ice rink can be booked to 5 February. At Top of the Rock, the Nature at Night on the Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail is running daily until 7 January, after which it will continue on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until 25 February.
This partnership is expected to become a magical yearly tradition.
