Warrior Group, a creator of world-class adventure experiences, worked on a significant expansion of Fujairah Adventure Park in the UEA last year. Eight new activities were added, including the region’s tallest steel giant swing, standing at 24 metres, and a dual zipline over mountainous terrain and water.

During this phase, the park’s offerings were improved, drawing adventure seekers and strengthening its standing as a top destination. Fujairah Adventure Park is a unique location that combines modern conveniences with pristine isolation, offering an escape into the peace of nature despite being in the middle of the city.

Giant Swing, ziplines and more

Up to three people can have an exciting trip on the 24-meter-tall steel Giant Swing at once. Participants enjoy a heart-pounding freefall while securely tethered. They then experience an exhilarating climb and a brief period of weightlessness before gradually drawing to a stop. Thanks to its numerous safety measures, including emergency brakes and limit switches, the Giant Swing satisfies the highest safety standards.

Meanwhile, the advanced two-stage zipline offers multiple cable segments and varying speeds, providing a breathtaking journey over stunning scenery. Guests are securely harnessed and propelled along suspended cables using high-strength materials and braking mechanisms.

The location’s new Adventure Tower includes four walls with different challenges, including a 12-meter climbing wall, quick flights, and bag jumps from heights of 4 and 6 meters. This offers a fun experience for all levels.

In Quick Flight, visitors enjoy a fast vertical descent from an elevated platform, using Quick Jump for a thrilling yet controlled experience that combines precise engineering with the excitement of freefall.

Guests can also experience Bag Jump, an adventure activity that involves jumping from an elevated platform at either 4 meters or 6 meters and landing safely onto an airbag. This activity employs 8m x 8m inflatable airbags made from PVC-coated fabric and engineered for durability. These are capable of withstanding repeated use and are inflated by powerful blowers.

Fujairah Adventure Park’s Climbing Wall is 12 metres high and has both an inclined and a vertical face. It is constructed with a robust steel framework and covered with climbing-grade GRP material, offering an array of holds and grips. The holds are strategically placed to create routes of varying difficulty levels, and the Climbing Wall incorporates holds of different colours and an automated belay system to ensure participant safety during both the climb and descent. The wall complies with safety standards, making it a versatile training tool for climbers of all skill levels.

Finally, The Target Range includes three archery lanes, two air rifle shooting lanes, and three axe-throwing lanes.

Considerate design

The activities are crafted to blend in with the surrounding landscape, reducing their effects on the environment while providing a picturesque and engaging experience. The ziplines, for instance, are designed to mimic a falcon’s nest. Through culturally inspired net baskets, this design mirrors the local nature and culture of the United Arab Emirates, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing and culturally educational adventure.

The new attractions have increased participation in educational tours and outdoor learning programmes from nearby schools and colleges. Due to this spike in involvement, the park’s foot traffic has surged, making it a valuable resource for experiential learning by giving students rare chances to interact with nature and participate in practical educational activities.

Furthermore, the park’s brand visibility has increased significantly by including engaging new attractions. Fujairah Adventure Park has cemented its position as a premier destination for adventure seekers by engaging a wider audience. Thanks to the growth, adventure seekers and tourists from near and far are drawn to the park, which has become a must-visit destination. This has boosted local travel, fueled economic expansion, and made a substantial contribution to regional development.

Engaging the local market has been a significant focus of the expansion. The project has promoted robust community interaction and assisted local businesses by prioritising hiring and production locally. The community has benefited from the development because of this dedication to local involvement, which has boosted sustainability and economic growth.

A commitment to innovation

Warrior Group’s expansion of Fujairah Adventure Park, which incorporates sustainable principles, creative design, and community engagement, is a noteworthy accomplishment in the adventure tourism industry.

“Working with Fujairah Adventures on Fujairah Adventure Park development has been an exhilarating journey,” says Troy Gillham, CEO of Warrior Group. “Developing an adventure park requires a strategic blend of creativity, safety, and sustainability. At Fujairah Adventure Park, our approach has been to design attractions that offer unique and exhilarating experiences for all visitors.”

Warrior Group recently celebrated a key milestone as it opened its first office in Saudi Arabia. This marks a new chapter in the company’s journey and highlights its dedication to assisting Saudi Arabia in achieving its ambitious objectives in tourism and the economy.

The opening reflects an increasing demand for the firm’s expertise and offerings, with nearly 70% of its operations taking place within the Kingdom.
