P&P Projects, a provider of turnkey design-build services for themed entertainment and leisure experiences, is set to share an exciting collection of news and updates at IAAPA Expo in Orlando.
As it celebrates its 35th anniversary, P&P Projects has announced an array of new developments. These include world-class projects and major organisational milestones and expansion, and more are yet to be revealed.
In addition, the firm has marked the anniversary with a new company film.
Unique immersive environments
The P&P Projects team has recently completed a number of unique projects. Among these is the Doloris Anoma Maze in Utrecht, Netherlands, which opened at the start of the summer. This new immersive art maze takes visitors on an exciting adventure through seemingly impossible worlds. P&P Projects was in charge of the creative development and overall production of the maze. Its remit encompassed show sets, interiors, scenic theming components, AVL, and special effects.
The team also contributed to the recently launched D-DEX experience at the War Museum Overloon in Overloon, Netherlands. With this experience, visitors are immersed in the events that occurred on the Normandy beaches in 1944, at the end of World War II.
P&P Projects led the attraction’s overall design and development, and then production. Its responsibilities included show sets, scenic finishes, AVL, media integration, and special effects. These elements have come together to produce a realistic and emotionally charged museum experience.
Rick Spring in ‘t veld, lead business development at P&P Projects, says: “As the ‘experience economy’ grows across the entire leisure industry, we are seeing more and more visitor attractions going further lengths to offer their guests something really unique and special. In other words, that term we’re all so familiar with; to offer them something truly immersive.
“We’re counting 35 years of experience in immersive themed entertainment design and production. Seeing these trends develop is exciting for us – we get to provide our services on broader horizons, and to deeper levels. This allows for a truly captivating, multi-sensory and multi-layered experience. It allows these attractions to stand out, and really make an impression.”
P&P Projects’ long-standing collaboration with Grupo Vidanta continues to develop into a series of distinctive themed entertainment projects. Grupo Vidanta recently offered a first look at VidantaWorld’s BON Luxury Theme Park, which will open at the Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta Resort in Mexico.
As an essential player in the overall experience design, the P&P Projects team is excited for future guests to enjoy this diverse range of rides and attractions, which will combine amazing thrills with imaginative storytelling.
Durability, dependability, & innovation
This year’s IAAPA Expo Europe in Amsterdam represented an important milestone for P&P Projects, as the firm announced the formation of a new company subdivision, ThemedMotion. This specialist branch will concentrate on the design and manufacture of animatronics and advanced animated figures.
ThemedMotion’s developments prioritise a custom control system which enables remote performance monitoring, straightforward maintenance, and seamless interaction with show sets. In this approach, the firm emphasises its core values of durability, dependability, and innovation. The first ThemedMotion show model, ‘Mormel’, enthralled visitors as the focal point of the P&P Projects stand at IAAPA Expo Europe.
The new P&P Projects subdivision has started development on its first collection and is excited to share its upcoming developments.
“All in all, the P&P Projects team is buzzing with exhilarating news to share at IAAPA Expo next month,” says a spokesperson from the firm.
“A first sneak peek at what’s to come might even be revealed there…”
This summer, P&P Projects announced the launch of its new production facility in Asten, The Netherlands. This new facility represents a major milestone in the firm’s ongoing expansion.
