Epic Universe to offer myriad immersive retail experiences

Universal Orlando has shared a first look at the new merchandise and retail experiences at Epic Universe, opening on 22 May.

Epic Universe houses five themed worlds – Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and Celestial Park.

Across these lands, there will be more than 20 immersive retail locations.

“The groundbreaking, immersive worlds of Epic Universe created the dream opportunity for us to design a first-of-its-kind merchandise program that brings these iconic stories to fans in new and innovative ways,” said Justin Lafoe, global parks merchandise and retail officer, Universal Products & Experiences.

“We are thrilled to bring fan-favorite worlds to life and give guests the chance to bring home a piece of their adventures with them.”

Here’s what guests can expect:

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic

At Place Cachée, guests will find merchandise inspired by 1920s wizarding Paris, the Fantastic Beasts films, the British Ministry of Magic, and more.

At Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique, guests will find a new collection of interactive wands, while wizarding gear and memorabilia will be available in Les Galeries Mirifiques.

This includes 1920s-style wizarding robes with berets and neck ties.

At Tour En Floo, guests will shop for the Métro-Floo collection, while sweet treats can be found at French confectionary shop K. Rammelle.

Super Nintendo World

At Super Nintendo World, guests will get to buy merchandise inspired by characters such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Yoshi at shops such as the 1-UP Factory and Mario Motors.

Donkey Kong products will be available at Funky’s Fly ‘n’ Buy, and guests can buy interactive Power-Up Bands throughout the land.

How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk

In this Vikings-themed world, guests can shop for toys, apparel and plush inspired by the larger-than-life dragons in Berk at Toothless’ Treasures.

Viking Traders and Hiccup’s Work Shop are retail outlets selling cosplay attire like helmets, shields, swords and more.

How to Treat Your Dragon will sell treats including mystery chocolate dragon eggs and sheep marshmallows.

Dark Universe

In the eerie world of Darkmoor, guests can shop for cosplay attire at Pretorius’ Scientific Oddities and then have a makeover done at Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience.

More merchandise themed to the land’s experiences will be on sale at the Manor Storehouse and Guild of Mystics retail locations.

Celestial Park

Finally, Celestial Park houses several shops selling souvenirs, accessories and more. These include Other Worlds Mercantile and Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets.

Also, Various Emporia houses three smaller shops – Sensorium Emporium, North Star – Wintry Wonders and Lens Flair.
