Sub Sea Systems, Inc. (SSS), a company specialising in immersive, memorable and hands-on encounters that educate through entertainment, introduces Kaimana. This new underwater experience merges interactive gameplay with the excitement of exploration. Guests will wear SEA TREK helmets while navigating various attractions, competing playfully with high-velocity bubble blasters beneath the surface.
The firm has also incorporated the DIVR+ virtual reality snorkelling experience with sensory effects into the new product offering, providing side-by-side attractions that engage and entertain.
A fun and flexible underwater arena
Kaimana translates to “power of the sea” in Hawaiian and serves as an underwater arena that includes games, challenge courses, and experiences within a fully self-contained above-ground pool and theatre.
The venue features a smartly designed floor plan with interchangeable themes and activity sets, allowing the arena’s layout to shift into different attractions like Aqua Maze, where players wind their way through twists, turns and inevitable dead ends to find the correct path to the finish line, and Airmageddon, a team based target shooting competition.
These underwater games are suitable for families, promote competition, and foster repeat engagement.
Players walk and breathe underwater using the self-contained Sea TREK backpack system. This reliable product has facilitated over 3.5 million guest experiences globally. No swimming skills or prior experience are required to join, and the minimum age to participate is 8.
For added fun and engagement, players each have a blaster that can shoot high-powered bubble rings and can aim at air-activated targets for a team challenge. The system features an LED screen with a visible shot counter and an NFC reset card, and custom colours are available for individual team identification.
Kaimana is crafted as a stand-alone, revenue-generating attraction, perfect for venues wanting to monetise a dedicated space outside general admission. Its above-ground pool design ensures quick setup, guest visibility, and streamlined maintenance, making it a practical and visually striking enhancement for any property.
Last year, Sub Sea Systems won two prestigious Brass Ring Awards at IAAPA Expo 2025. The company placed first in the Water Park Ride/Attraction – Product cost of less than US$2 million category for its Adapted SeaTREK product, which also received the Impact Award. The Impact Award recognises one winner from the Best New Product categories that the judges believe can impact the attractions sector the most.
The firm will be at SEA Expo 2025 in Riyadh from 20 – 22 May, and can be found at booth #4B490, where the team will showcase its range of products, including Aquaticar, SeaTREK, DIVR+, SolarCat, Kaimana, and DIVE BELL. The world’s first installation of Aquaticar will be in this region, at Qiddiya in Saudi Arabia.
