Miral reveals record-breaking attendance on Yas, Saadiyat islands in 2024

Miral‘s immersive destinations continue to grow

Miral, Abu Dhabi‘s creator of immersive destinations and experiences, has announced record-breaking attendance on Yas Island and Saadiyat Island in 2024.

Yas Island recorded more than 38 million visits last year, a 10 percent increase compared to 2023. Yas Island’s hotels achieved their highest performance since 2019.

Saadiyat Island saw a 10 percent visitation increase across its hotels and museums compared to the year before.

Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Miral CEO, said the results “are testament to our commitment to contributing to the achievement of Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a leading global destination”.

He said: “Through the development of world-class destinations and immersive experiences, we are not only attracting visitors from around the world but also creating joyful moments that leave a lasting impact.

“The continued success of Yas Island and Saadiyat Island stands as a powerful testament to the strength of our strategic partnerships and our shared dedication to elevating Abu Dhabi’s global appeal.”

New experiences for Miral destinations

Last year, attendance to Yas Island’s theme parks and Clymb Abu Dhabi rose by 20 percent. International visits to the parks also enjoyed significant growth, with a 40 percent rise.

Yas Island also recorded a 17 percent increase in business events and conferences in 2024 from the prior year

Additionally, Yas Island and Saadiyat Island received over 190 awards and recognitions in 2024, Miral said in a statement.

Several new developments on Yas Island are set to reach completion in 2025, including the first phase of the Yas Waterworld expansion, which opens this summer with 12 new rides and experiences.

Coming to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi are new DC attractions, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and two additional rides.

Over on Saadiyat Island, the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi is scheduled for completion towards the end of 2025.

Meanwhile, teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi opened to guests on Saadiyat Island in April.
