Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas has announced a horrible holiday overlay inspired by the festive half-goat, half-demon monster Krampus.
Universal Destinations & Experiences‘ first-ever year-round horror attraction opened in August as part of Area15’s expansion.
Set in an abandoned warehouse, the space features four haunted houses, themed areas with live entertainment, and spooky F&B.
For Christmas 2025, Universal Horror Unleashed will provide the Krampus & Kin experience, which debuts on 15 November and runs through 3 January 2026.
At Krampus & Kin, guests will encounter “monstrous myths of dark yule like Krampus, Grýla, and the Kallikantzaroi”.
Guests will get to pose with these “ancient entities” at photo opportunities, including Krampus on his “twisted throne”, Grýla’s cauldron, and “the cursed canopy of the Kallikantzaroi’s rotting tree”.
In addition, there will be a parade of “creatures and their unearthly followers” throughout the venue, while F&B will include a Krampus-themed snow globe dessert and a dish named ‘Grýla’s Char’.
“We are excited to bring these creatures of the dark yule to life at Universal Horror Unleashed,” said Kim Scott, general manager.
“Whether guests are braving the experience as part of their Las Vegas itinerary, or booking an ultimate Las Vegas holiday party, this limited-time experience offers a unique blend of folklore, food, and fright, making it the perfect holiday experience for those who crave something new this holiday season.”
For the rest of the year, Universal Horror Unleashed is home to haunted houses themed after Universal Monsters, The Exorcist: Believer (2023), an original story called Scarecrow: The Reaping, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974).
