Event Network, a leading operator of retail stores for experiential attractions in the US, has announced the debut of the Bigfoot Discovery Tour, the first in a series of immersive pop-up experiences combining original content with custom retail. The tour, which is being produced by Event Network, will begin in February 2024 at the Brevard Zoo and then make several subsequent stops.
Bigfoot, the legendary occupant of the wild, uncharted, and distant regions of our globe, is emerging from hiding to offer advice on how we can preserve our planet. Visitors can discover and explore Bigfoot’s compound to see how much he values protecting the environment and our well-being. In addition to sharing his strategy for restoring our wild spaces, Bigfoot encourages visitors to recycle, repurpose, and reuse. With its optimism and humour, the Bigfoot Discovery Tour inspires action.
“We have been creating inspirational retail environments that provide a sustainable message for Zoos and Aquariums for more than 25 years,” says Larry Gilbert, president, and CEO of Event Network, “The Bigfoot Discovery Tour is an experience for the whole family to enjoy while they learn about how we can restore wild places and preserve them for generations to come.”
A sustainability message
To further illustrate the sustainability message, the Event Network creative team has developed a collection that includes a specially designed Bigfoot product assortment.
“It’s so important that guests visiting the Bigfoot Discovery Tour experience merchandise that aligns with the mission of conservation as well as iconic Bigfoot fun,” says Jaime Lynn, Event Network’s VP of product development. “We hope our guests will be inspired to take a new step in protecting our environment and find unique and unexpected products that also promote this message.”
Event Network was the first experiential retail company to offer plush toys made completely of recycled materials, to redesign toy packaging to remove plastic, and to create an entirely traceable and socially conscious clothing line called Wearsponsible.
Gilbert adds: “We are thrilled to be taking this step into creating engaging and enriching experiences. We hope the Bigfoot Discovery Tour will inspire our guests to imagine their positive impact on our planet while having a great time exploring Bigfoot’s world.”
Event Network also recently announced a new partnership with Zoo Knoxville. The collaboration began in early November with a refreshed main store and a new, more sustainable product assortment.
