Pokémon x Natural History Museum is launching in January 2026

Pokémon are coming to the Natural History Museum in London, with an exclusive pop-up shop opening to fans of the brand in January 2026.

Pokémon x Natural History Museum is launching on 26 January through 22 March as part of Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations.

Adam Farrar, director of commercial and visitor experience for the Natural History Museum, said: “There is such a wonderful alignment between Pokémon and the Natural History Museum – we’re obviously both big fans of the natural world and its evolution and diversity.

“We hope this collaboration will spark joy and curiosity in the creatures around us, both in the world of Pokémon and Earth.”

The Pokémon pop-up retail experience will be located in the museum‘s Cranbourne Boutique, and will include exclusive products designed for the collaboration.

On offer will be clothing, stationery, accessories, prints, and a new exclusive plush toy.

The Pokémon x Natural History Museum product range will also be available to buy from the museum’s online shop from January 2026.

Additionally, a select range of products from the pop-up shop will be available for purchase from Pokémon’s UK online store.

Mathieu Galante, senior director of licensing for Pokémon Europe, said: “Design inspiration has been drawn directly from the Natural History Museum’s iconic building and architecture, as well as the beautiful naturalist sketches that fill the museum’s archives.”

He added, “We are excited to be working with the Natural History Museum to create this fun pop-up store for fans of all ages.”

Earlier this year, the Pokémon Company unveiled its new PokéPark Kanto theme park in Japan, which it plans to open in early 2026.

Located in a corner of Yomiuriland, Tokyo’s largest amusement park, PokéPark Kanto will be the world’s first permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction.
