Aquarium Conservation Partnership (ACP) represents a coalition of Aquarium and Zoos across the United States joint in an effort to increase the conservation impact of the sector.

The 29 different members are spread across 21 different states, each a trusted institution in the realm of science-backed conservation efforts. Through their work, they aim to inspire visitors and audiences online to take a positive stance for wildlife conservation.
Advancing conservation policies
Believing in the power of collective action to inspire change, ACP advocates for various conservation policies in order to influence decision making in the industry. Ranging from lobbying for sustainable fishing practices, to reversing climate change, and minimizing pollution.
Insipiring audiences
Member institutions aim to inspire audiences to positively engage in conservation discourse and to care better for our planet and aquatic life. Campaigns and action opportunities such as exhibitions, animal ambassadors and art showcases help to inspire audiences both on site and at home.
Commitment to sustainable practises
All member institutions are joint in efforts to employ sustainable practises in all areas of operations, including commitments to reduce carbon emissions and single use materials. By adapting these models, these institutions not only inspire change in visitor behaviors but as recognised industry leaders, impact non member sites as well.
Embedding justice and equity
Whilst making positive change for the environment and conservation, ACP believe that it is important to also confront issues surrounding justice and equity within the aquarium and zoo industry. Through investing efforts to improve representation for marginalised communities, ACP members aim to make a more equitable environment for everyone regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic background.
Members
ACP members include leading institutions from the aquarium and zoo industry, as well as associations such as AZA. Each are world class institutions, aligning with a commitment to protect and safeguard our freshwater and ocean ecosystems.
