Cosm to showcase new features & benefits of Digistar 2025 at launch event

Cosm, a global technology company that builds end-to-end solutions for immersive experiences, has announced that it will host a special event to highlight the new features and benefits of the next rendition of the world’s leading planetarium software, Digistar 2025, following its unveiling at this year’s International Planetarium Society Conference in Berlin.

Digistar 2025 will be available to customers in January 2025. Before the release, Cosm’s global community of planetarium partners will get a first look on 5 December at 9 am MT / 4 pm UTC. During this virtual event, they will be able to discover the latest advancements to the software, such as enhanced visuals and playback capabilities, seamless access to the latest scientific data, and powerful tools designed to inspire and educate audiences.

Live demonstrations

Building on the achievements of Digistar’s more than four decades of history, Digistar 2025 will bring several new features and innovations to raise the bar for the planetarium experience. An in-depth look at innovative and significant features, like the incorporation of Cosm’s Multi-Sync Engine, which is utilised in Cosm’s immersive venues and makes it easier to create immersive fulldome experiences by combining multiple video sources, audio feeds, and real-time graphics, will be provided to attendees of the community launch event.

Furthermore, by switching to an annual release cycle, Digistar 2025 guarantees that users will always have access to the newest advancements, enabling them to improve their programming over time, foster greater community involvement, and inspire future generations.

In addition to live demos of Digistar 2025, attendees will gain insights into Cosm’s expanded immersive content ecosystem, including its Premium Media Program for flexible and affordable fulldome programming. There will also be an exclusive Q&A with Cosm and the Digistar team and details about system upgrade timelines.
