D-BOX Technologies, a world leader in immersive motion entertainment experiences, and LAI Games, a leader in the interactive game industry, highlighted their successful partnership at IAAPA Expo 2019 in Orlando, Florida.

D-BOX Technologies is proud to have contributed to the success of LAI Games, and the two companies hosted a joint press conference at IAAPA Expo this week to highlight their collaboration on the award-winning Virtual Rabbids VR attraction.

Earlier this year, LAI Games released three new experiences for the Virtual Rabbids: The Big Ride line-up. The popular attendant-free VR attraction now features 6 premium games, created by Ubisoft. D-BOX motion technology adds another layer of fun to the experience, with multiple layers of detail through movement, vibration and texture. The company worked to synchronise both the on-rail aspect and the shooting action.

Another innovative feature of the new content is that players have the ability to shoot at targets by aiming their VR headsets during the Space Skirmish ride.

Outnumbered

In total, LAI Games showcased six different attractions at IAAPA Expo 2019. This includes its new product, Outnumbered, a smart game with a free companion app designed to encourage repeat play by allowing guests to create an account and build up their points score in order to access personalised content.

In addition to this, attendees at the expo could also try out HYPERpitch, a baseball-style pitching game that can be played solo or with a friend. The competitive aspect, combined with dynamic lighting and explosive sound effects, draws a crowd and makes it a social experience, as players are judged on speed and accuracy.

Earlier this month, D-BOX announced that MajorMega’s Hyperdeck VR attraction at Two Bit Circus had almost 3,000 plays in the opening month. The immersive experience is powered by D-BOX motion technology.

LAI Games recently appointed John Bugh to the role of Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Business Development, in order to develop its worldwide sales strategies.
