Huss Park Attractions, the German ride manufacturer, has announced the opening of a new Sky Tower location, now at Changsha OCT Window of the World in China.
Huss Park Attractions is pleased to announce the opening of this new attraction, which can be found at Changsha OCT Window of the World, the largest theme park in central China. The Sky Tower officially opened to the public in October and has already proved popular with visitors.
This strengthens the company’s long-term relationship with the park, which is already home to a much-loved King Kong ride from the Huss Family Rides product range.
An iconic attraction
Changsha OCT Window of the World first opened in 1997. The popular park includes several miniatures of world-famous tourist attractions, cultural landmarks and historic sites.
The new Sky Tower is 120 metres high and serves as an iconic and modern addition to the park. Guests ride to a maximum height of 80 metres, where they will enjoy a panoramic view of the park. The cabin holds up to 70 passengers, including guests in wheelchairs. There is no age restriction, so the whole family can enjoy the experience.
The fully air-conditioned cabin measures 12 metres and rotates as it gently ascends and descends, giving guests a full 360° viewing opportunity while they enjoy accompanying audio. When reaching the top, the gondola completes one full circle before beginning its descent. Capacity is around 1,400 per hour.
Sky Tower
This is the latest in a series of worldwide Sky Tower installations worldwide from Huss, beginning in 1987. The attraction is popular with both guests and operators.
The Changsha OCT Window on the World installation also won a Golden Crown Award in the category of Outstanding Big Rides Suppliers for Land Parks. This took place at the recently held Asia Attractions magazine awards in Guangzhou, China. It was also the main attraction to be featured in a recent live night time TV event filmed at the park.
“OCT is a loyal, long-standing customer of Huss Park Attractions and we enjoy an excellent relationship with the company,” says Huss CEO Mirko J. Schulze. “We are very happy to have opened the Sky Tower at Changsha OCT Window of the World which provides the park with a stunning new landmark attraction suitable for all guests.
“It is the latest in a long line of Sky Tower installations around the world and I am sure it will enjoy much success at the park.”
The company’s amusement rides can be found all over the globe and several have been in use for more than 30 years, continuing to provide exceptional value to their owners.
