Interspectral and IMA Solutions to create new interactive experience for Paris science museum

A leading creator of intuitive, interactive 3D visualisation experiences, Interspectral, and its French partner, IMA Solutions, are to deliver a new interactive experience to the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris.

Cite LogoCité des Sciences et de l’Industrie (City of Science and Industry) is the largest science museum in Europe and attracts over 2.5 million visitors a year.

As part of a large travelling exhibition opening this autumn, Interspectral and IMA Solutions will create a unique interactive exhibit using state-of-the-art medical imaging data. The experience will be delivered via Interspectral’s Inside Explorer technology.

“We are very proud that the largest science museum in Europe, The Cité, have selected us as their partner in this very exciting project,” stated Interspectral CEO, Thomas Rydell.

“We are greatly looking forward to working with the team at the museum to create an amazing user experience.”

Inside Explorer transforms how museum visitors interact with exhibits

Inside Explorer has transformed the way museum visitors interact with information and exhibits. The easy-to-use technology allows users to investigate anything from the human skeleton to a flower seed in extraordinary detail.

A recent example is the installation in Saint Louis Art Museum’s reimagined Egyptian galleries. Using Inside Explorer, visitors are able to unlock the hidden secrets of an Egyptian mummy by accessing a series of highly detailed CT-scans.

Interspectral has also recently teamed up with the University of Florida to turn a series of scientific 3D CT-scans of frogs, snakes and other reptiles into an intuitive, interactive 3D visualisation experience.

“This 3D interactive experience will be the first release of the Inside Explorer technology in France and we are very proud that it will happen at Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris, a world-renowned museum dedicated to spread science and knowledge to a large audience, ” added Ben Moreno, CEO of IMA Solutions.
