LAI Games, a leader in the interactive game industry, has published the results of its consumer survey on COVID-19.
LAI Games is pleased to announce that the results of its recent consumer survey are now available to download. This is a follow-up to the company’s State of the Industry report and explores how players themselves feel about COVID-19 as venues begin to reopen to the public.
More than 500 people responded to the survey, which was shared by operators through their social media channels. The aim of the exercise was to find out guests’ key concerns around the issue, so that operators can address these and encourage players to return sooner.
Consumer attitudes on COVID-19
Players answered a range of questions related to their behaviour both pre and post-COVID-19. The resulting report gives venue owners direct insight into how their guests are feeling, meaning they can act quickly to tackle any worries.
Types of locations represented in the report include FECs, bowling centres, arcades, trampoline parks, water parks, cinema complexes and more.
One key finding is on the topic of personal protective equipment, with 57% of respondents saying that locations should insist on visitors wearing masks and gloves, with 71% planning on bringing their own. The report also features insights on which incentives would be most effective in encouraging visitors to return, for example, loyalty programmes, tournaments, deals and special events.

Earlier this year, LAI Games attended Amusement Expo International 2020, where the team demonstrated a range of new games, such as an innovative twist on the traditional coin pusher, an app-augmented target shooter and a competitive pitching game.
It also showcased the award-winning Virtual Rabbids: The Big Ride with its new Expansion Pack, featuring three new rides, including the industry’s first interactive ride for unattended VR.
