Sports Simulator, a provider of advanced leisure simulators, has been sharing how its physically interactive products can help FECs and other leisure and entertainment venues keep guests coming through the door, in an age where high-tech in-home entertainment is becoming more accessible than ever before.

Residential VR has now supplanted commercial virtual reality, as all of the top game consoles now sell inexpensive headgear that connects to infrared detectors. The general public has already ceased spending a lot of money to play augmented reality games at entertainment venues since they can now be found at home on their existing consoles for a much lower price.

Wireless VR headsets and infrared motion-sensing controllers are compatible with all of the top gaming systems, including Sony’s Playstation and Microsoft’s Xbox. Many businesses also sell VR gear, including HoloLens, HTC Vive Pro, Samsung Gear VR, Valve Index VR, Meta Quest Pro, and HP Reverb. And, as more competitors enter the market in 2023, retail prices will continue to decline.

Social activity brings guests back to FECs

So, why pay for VR at an arcade or FEC when you could own a VR Setup and play with your family and friends at home? FECs are needing to quickly convert redundant space to stay ahead of the game, otherwise, several areas will no longer be generating a decent income.

Sports Simulator Tennis

A physically engaging sports simulator will encourage customers to continue to attend and spend money on entertainment, food, and drink. Currently, football, golf, baseball, tennis, gridiron, bowling, and cricket are the most popular sports. All of these can be played on the sports simulator, with real sports objects, together with 53 additional sports, 1,500 game challenges, and 3,500 sporting venues.

It’s simple to swing one’s arms and legs in the living room and bedroom, but it’s impossible to kick, toss or smash a ball without causing damage to the house, which is why sports simulators are necessary. Sports simulation games are not only incredibly addictive to play, but they will also always be relevant, unlike VR and AR.

Sports Simulator products have also been increasingly used in retail environments, drawing patrons into shopping centres and malls as part of strategies to draw shoppers away from the appeals of online shopping.
