A new wakeboarding park is set to open in Pembrokeshire in early June.
Pembrokeshire Wake Park will offer wake boarding, Ringo inflatable rides, open water swimming and paddle board yoga on a 160m man made lake.
The site will also have a club house, cafe and gift shop.
Although this is only the second wakeboarding facility in Wales, the first being Glasfryn Wakeparc, the new attraction is part of a growing trend for extreme sports in the country and worldwide.
Adrenaline pumping attractions include Zip World with its zip wires, trampolines and alpine coasters, and Surf Snowdonia. Looking to the future, EXTREME Sports Company and The Circuit of Wales are looking to develop a £425 million sports, entertainment and leisure development.
Further afield wakeboarding and out-of-sea surfing are gathering momentum as millennials look to combine extreme sports with lifestyle experiences. BSR Cable Park in Waco Texas is adding a surf park to its facilities which include extreme slides and the world’s longest lazy river which can be enjoyed with cold beer.
