World leading dark ride and animatronics company Sally Corporation has announced former NAMCO USA executive David Bishop as their new new Chief Operating Officer.

The Jacksonville, Florida based company specialises in creating destination-quality dark rides for regional theme parks around the world. For example, Sally Corp. created the fully immersive 4D dark ride, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis dark ride. This summer saw the opening of the seventh Justice League ride at a Six Flags park, when the comic book themed ride opened at California’s Six Flags Magic Mountain in July. Sally Corp recently revealed its new website, marking the firm’s 40th year in themed entertainment.
David Bishop will report to Sally Corp. CEO/Chairman, John Wood. His role will be to oversee all of the firm’s operations in Jacksonville together with strategic initiatives worldwide.

Throughout his career he has spearheaded numerous entertainment & technology-based strategic initiatives. Daivd Bishop has over thirty years experience in operations and an extensive background in gaming. His most recent role was EVP of Strategic Project Development, for NAMCO USA Inc. This is a member company of the BANDAI NAMCO Group. Bandai Namco is the world’s leading game company and a world leader in games and amusements. In addition, it operates over 1,000 amusement facilities worldwide.
Both NAMCO and Sally Corporation focus on the themed entertainment and out-of-home leisure market. They work with theme parks, entertainment facilities and resorts around the world.
David Bishop was also recognized by the gaming community in 2015 – received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Video Game Hall of Fame. He also has a particular interest in the application of gamification and new technology in the entertainment sector.
