Leading entertainment design specialist, Forrec Ltd., has strengthened its strategic approach with a realigned and enhanced business development team.

This new go-to-market strategy is designed to make it easier for clients to succeed with their global entertainment designs and Canadian-based landscape architecture projects.
“The entertainment industry continues to grow in new and dynamic ways,” says Forrec President and CEO, Cale Heit.
“Forrec has the opportunity to leverage our decades of experience working with the leading operators, brands and clients to meet these changing demands.”
One leadership group will focus on integrated projects and long-term client relationships, while the other will support individual lines of business including theme parks, water parks, resorts, visitor attractions, and mixed use+ entertainment spaces.

“We have several, seasoned business development leaders who are exceptionally good at integrated entertainment projects,” explains Heit. “They will focus on projects that involve many moving parts and require cross-market expertise, in order to best optimise our ability to service our clients.”
The Big Picture Leadership Group
This team consists of five members. Two have been with FORREC for 30 years and will continue to bring their considerable skills to business development for our integrated projects and long-term clients:
Steven Rhys, Executive Vice President, known industry-wide for his work in MENA, the US and China

Anthony Van Dam, Executive Vice President, known for his contacts and many successes in South East Asia and China
Alongside Rhys and Van Dam will be two new vice presidents. They will assume new responsibilities, as well as supporting projects already underway:
Linda Hung, formerly the highly successful Senior Director of Theme Parks and a 20-year veteran of Forrec.
Steven Shah, formerly Senior Director of the innovative mixed use+ entertainment sector with more than 30 years’ experience in design and planning.
Leading the business development team will be:
Matt Dawson, with a 25-year career in the industry, becomes Vice President of Business Development.
Dawson has been tasked with driving, planning and coordinating the company’s activities in the global marketplace.

The Specialists Group
Supporting these leaders will be a team of specialists, all proven experts in a range of disciplines:
Eric O’Rourke takes on Hung’s former role as the new Senior Director of Theme Parks. He most recently served as Forrec’s Director of Resorts
Forrec’s former Senior Landscape Architect, Thomas Gould, has been promoted to new Director of Resorts.
James Anderson, moves on from Lead Creative Director to Senior Director of Visitor Attractions
Glenn O’Connor, CSLA President elect, continues his successes as Senior Director of Water Parks

Senior Director, Scott Torrance, will focus on the leadership of Forrec’s landscape architecture work in Canada
David J Eagleson has been promoted from his role as Senior Project Director to Vice President. Eagleson has been with Forrec for 30 years and oversees the development of design for projects with the company’s key clients and brands.
Forrec has made these changes in response to a rapidly evolving marketplace, with the aim of continuing to deliver clients ‘service they can depend on’. The company says its new go-to-market strategy enhances these skills and grows this ability.
Forrec is a leader in the design of theme parks, water parks, mixed use + entertainment developments, resorts and visitor attractions globally. Based in Toronto, Canada, the company has built projects in 20 countries, with a history that spans three decades.
