Picsolve and Merlin extend partnership across Asia-Pacific and Middle East

Leading digital content capture partner for world-class visitor destinations, Picsolve, is celebrating a raft of new contract wins and extensions with Merlin Entertainments across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

shanghai dungeon merlin entertainmentsThe announcement sees Picsolve become the sole content capture partner of Merlin Entertainments’ new attractions in China; as well as the luge track at Eden Valley Ski Resort in South Korea, and Global Village Dubai.

Both companies have made no secret of their ambitious expansion plans in China. Picsolve and Merlin will be pooling their expertise to create highly immersive and interactive environments at five new attractions: Shanghai Dungeon, Peppa Pig World Shanghai, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Beijing, Peppa Pig World Beijing and Little Big City Beijing.

“Our expansion into these key markets puts Picsolve firmly on the map as the primary content capture partner for the world’s best destinations,” stated Picsolve CEO, David Hockley.

“The new contract wins and further contract expansions are testament to our hard work, continued innovation in the market and the strength of our leadership team. I’m excited by the prospect of many more iconic entertainment brands joining in partnership with Picsolve.”

Picsolve’s Experience Wall debuts in Asia

All attractions will be using Picsolve’s innovative green screen and grey screen technology. Madame Tussauds Shanghai and Madame Tussauds Bangkok will also feature Picsolve’s patented Experience Wall, marking the first installations of the technology in Asia.

Building on its existing Merlin partnerships in Asia-Pacific, Picsolve has signed multi-year contract extensions for six Madame Tussauds attractions, two Sea Life Centres and three LEGOLAND Discovery Centres across Thailand, Japan, China, Korea and Hong Kong.
