At this week’s IAAPA FEC Summit in Austin, Texas, Intercard will be showcasing its mobile app collection called The Edge.
Designed for owners and operators of family entertainment centres, the three-day summit began on Sunday, January 27, and continues until Tuesday the 29th. This will be followed by a post event tour to four local FECs on Wednesday, January 30.
The Edge builds on iService, which was the industry’s first mobile management app for arcade games when introduced by Intercard in 2017. iService makes it simple to track and manage every game at one or more locations. Users can remotely put a game out of service for maintenance and technicians can use it to track repair information and when the game was placed back into service. All information is automatically updated on the server and in the cloud.
Two new apps offered as part of The Edge help Intercard customers do even more with mobile technology. Upshot is a card management app that FEC proprietors can provide to their customers. The app allows customer to easily add value to multiple game cards from a mobile device instead of a trip to the kiosk.
Meanwhile, the Inventory app saves money by enabling easy management of redemption inventory from an Android or iOS mobile device. Staff can scan UPC codes on merchandise, reducing the labour cost of inventory management and eliminating mistakes.

“Since 2017, Intercard has been leading the way in harnessing the potential of mobile technology to change the way FEC operators interact with their customers and their business,” says North America sales manager, Bill Allen.
He will be happy to demonstrate The Edge Mobile App Collection and other great Intercard products to IAAPA FEC Summit delegates.
