Disney Encanto x Camp in New York City is a new experience inspired by the film.

Camp, an experiential toy store that offers shopping and play, has launched a new Encanto-themed immersive retail experience in collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Disney Encanto x Camp at the company’s flagship store in New York City is a 6,000-square-foot attraction inspired by the film. Guests can visit the Madrigals’ Casita, enjoying candlelight, cumbia and magic.

Interactive scenes created for the experience include Antonio’s rainforest, Isabela’s flower-filled room, Luisa’s and Pepa’s rooms and cousin Dolores’ ‘soundscape door’.

Stephanie Beatriz (Mirabel), María Cecilia Botero (Abuela Alma), John Leguizamo (Bruno) and Ravi Cabot-Conyers (Antonio) have reprised their roles for Disney Encanto x Camp.

In addition, guests can shop in the town plaza (La Placita) for exclusive and customisable clothing, books and felt jewellery, displayed in merchant carts.

“This first-of-its-kind show will transport families into the beautiful world of Encanto, bringing to life the magic shared between Camp and Disney,” said Ben Kaufman, CAMP’s co-founder and CEO.

Disney Encanto x Camp will be in New York for a limited time before moving to another Camp location. Camp, a family experience company, participated in the 2021 Disney Accelerator.

Launched in 2018, Camp venues combine play, products and programming. Camp operates nine locations in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and Texas.

“Bringing together Disney’s extraordinary storytelling and immersive retail experiences allows us to dream bigger and create special offerings for families,” said Hubert Liu, SVP of business planning and franchise development for Disney consumer products, games and publishing.

“Our continued collaboration with Camp is an exciting example of our commitment to engaging with our fans in new ways. We’re thrilled to deliver this beautifully immersive experience that celebrates the award-winning magic of Disney’s Encanto.”

Earlier this year, Camp launched its first Disney-themed experience, Mickey & Friends: An Extra Big Adventure.
