Hong Kong Disneyland has shared new drone footage of its ‘World of Frozen’ land, opening in late 2023.
The world’s first Frozen-themed land is Hong Kong Disneyland’s largest expansion to date. It will feature two new attractions – Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.
The latter is a family-friendly roller coaster, while Frozen Ever After will take guests on a magical journey to visit Elsa’s Ice Palace.Â
As seen in the drone video, the construction of the Arendelle village is almost completed, including the clock tower, Elsa’s Ice Palace, the North Mountain and Arendelle Castle.

“In this time of happily-ever-after, peace and prosperity have returned to the kingdom of Arendelle, guests are invited from near and far to take part in this joyous celebration on ‘Summer Snow Day‘,” said Michel Den Dulk, executive creative director for Walt Disney Imagineering.Â
“The World of Frozen project team has taken immersive storytelling to the next level,” added Amanda Chiu, a senior producer at Walt Disney Imagineering.
“In creating World of Frozen, we have the vision of making this land a living and authentic Arendelle where guests can step into the cinematic scenes from the Frozen movies.
“We recreated iconic landmarks of Arendelle that will instantly resonate with the fans of Frozen and all guests alike.”
Updated Elsa Audio-Animatronics figure
In addition to the drone footage, Hong Kong Disneyland has unveiled an enhanced Audio-Animatronics figure of Elsa.
“Our figure of Elsa takes Audio-Animatronics technology to a whole new level,” said Chiu.
“When you see Elsa performing her signature song Let It Go, her facial expressions and body movements will bring her to life like never before.”
World of Frozen is the first of three Frozen-themed areas launching at Disney’s theme parks. Disneyland Paris is also developing a Frozen area for Walt Disney Studios Park, and Tokyo DisneySea is bringing the films to life as part of its Fantasy Springs expansion.
