Valo Motion, a pioneer in combining interactive technology with physical activities, has announced that it has sold a total of 28 ValoArenas in the first year since the innovative mixed-reality playground launched. Plus, the attraction has also won two industry awards since it made its debut in February 2022. It can now be found in 14 different countries around the world.
“The Valo Motion team is so grateful and surprised to have achieved such significant milestones with ValoArena after such a short time on the market,” says Raine Kajastila, CEO and founder of Valo Motion. “We are thankful to have partners around the world that trusted us and our industry’s support”
An award-filled first year
The physically active attraction, which accommodates up to six players, had its premiere in February 2022 at SuperPark’s Vantaa, Finland location. Here, it soon became a staff favourite for its ease of use. Following this, sales of the ValoArena product accelerated with numerous new installations across the globe.
The fact that ValoArena received awards from two different amusement industry groups serves as additional proof of its excellent first year. Most notably, it was named the winner of IAAPA’s Best New Product in the Brass Ring Awards 2022, in the Virtual and Augmented Reality category. Plus, it was highly commended in Park World’s FEC Project of the Year category.
“ValoArena’s achievements over the past year demonstrate that our mission to transform sports activities into immersive experiences has universal appeal,” adds Kajastila. “We are so happy to know that our vision is playing a part in getting people around the world to move, play, and have fun together”
Earlier this month, Valo Motion also announced that it has opened an interactive arcade at its Helsinki premises. The ValoHalli arcade will allow visitors to play on all three of Valo Motion’s mixed reality gaming platforms with dozens of active games.
