Family active fun can be found at a new mixed reality Finnish venue

Valo Motion, a pioneer in combining interactive technology with physical activities, has opened an interactive arcade at its Helsinki premises. The ValoHalli arcade will allow visitors to play on all three of Valo Motion’s mixed reality gaming platforms with dozens of active games.

The firm’s augmented reality climbing wall, ValoClimb, is one of the headline attractions at ValoHalli, where users can engage in a variety of gamified climbing tasks. Additionally, visitors can participate in interactive ValoJump trampoline games, which pit players against one another as virtual avatars while they bounce on trampolines.

Players can also test out ValoArena, the newest platform from ValoMotion. For up to six players, ValoArena is a mixed reality indoor gaming space.

At the IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Florida, in November 2022, ValoArena won the IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best New Product in the category of “Virtual and Augmented Reality.”

“According to studies, lack of physical activity causes health issues costing up to 1.5 billion euros yearly,” Valo Motion CEO and founder Raine Kajastila.

“Not everyone likes jogging or going to the gym, which is why it’s important to offer different options for exercise. Gamification is a great way to make doing sports more fun – while also promoting exercising together. With the help of augmented reality, we are able to encourage people to move in a new way.”

Growing player figures

To adults, kids, and families who are interested in games that require movement, ValoHalli offers novel and distinctive gaming experiences. Additionally, ValoHalli offers Valo Motion a singular chance to improve its goods and services by getting direct input from users.

At the moment, Valo Motion‘s arena, climbing, and trampoline activities engage more than 170,000 players daily in 65 different nations. More than 50 million people have played the games overall, and the company hopes to reach a million daily gamers by 2030.

Each game from Valo Motion integrates gaming with physical exercise, making them appropriate for everyone from young children to active fitness lovers. A variety of amusement parks, trampoline parks, indoor activity parks, climbing gyms, and other indoor entertainment venues utilise the company’s products around the world.

Valo Motion recently highlighted the importance of data for park operations, a key contributor to running more competitive and cutting-edge operations.
