EpicSurf EPIC promise

EpicSurf, a new stationary surf experience from the water park experts at Aquatic Development Group (ADG), has announced its EPIC Promise, which sets out the firm’s values and commitment towards sustainability.

ADG has been a leader in the wave system design and manufacturing sector for more than 50 years and is passionate about developing an accessible and safe surfing experience outside of the ocean while also upholding its dedication to environmentally responsible and sustainable practices.

The growing appeal of surfing

There are between 17 and 35 million surfers in the world, according to the International Surfing Association, making it one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. And the numbers keep climbing, thanks to the recent Olympic inclusion, lifestyle brands, surf tourism, and man-made waves!

With its deep-water, stationary wave, EpicSurf, ADG is excited to be a part of this fast-developing sector. Greater awareness of a vulnerable, changing planet and the corporate responsibility to ensure environmentally sustainable and people-focused processes go hand in hand with the link to this ocean-inspired sport.

The EPIC Promise

E: Energy-efficient surf wave technology. For maximum power efficiency, EpicSurf’s variable flow system may be modified to suit the demands of each surf session. The wave was created with a maximum power usage of 450 kW/hr to minimise total energy expenditures for the customer and lower carbon emissions to reduce the environmental impact.

P: Proven history in wave system design, manufacturing and performance. ADG is a pioneer in the wave manufacturing sector with more than 50 years of experience and more than 550 wave installations globally. The company is known for offering unmatched product innovation, installation, service, and support.

I: Inclusive surfing experience for people of all abilities. ADG takes great pride in providing a product that allows everyone, regardless of ability, to experience real surfing anytime, anywhere. Since its debut, EpicSurf has sculpted waves for a wide range of surfers, including beginners, intermediates, pros, kids, veterans, people over 70, people with disabilities, and more! The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) has certified EpicSurf as an Autism Resource.

C: Committed to eco-aware and sustainable practices. EpicSurf combines eco-friendly building materials and a compact drain-dry system that minimises water use and evaporation in order to maximise operational performance and uphold the highest environmental requirements.

“We are stoked to collaborate and partner with purpose-driven organizations that align with our values and ultimately help make the world a better place through democratizing the sport of surfing,” says EpicSurf.

Earlier this month, EpicSurf revealed that professional athlete Camden Hoover has become its first-ever sponsored surfing personality, ahead of the North American Qualifying Series for the World Surf League.
