Boulder Dash now features 580 feet of ‘Titan Track’ for a smoother and faster ride.

Lake Compounce, an amusement park in Bristol, Connecticut, will offer an enhanced ride experience on the Boulder Dash coaster when it reopens for the 2023 season on 29 April.

Boulder Dash has been voted the world’s best wooden roller coaster several times. It reaches speeds of more than 60 miles per hour.

For this year, Lake Compounce has upgraded the coaster with 580 feet of ‘Titan Track’ by Great Coasters International (GCI) to offer a smoother and faster ride.

“Since Boulder Dash was completed at Lake Compounce and opened to riders in 2000, it has been a massive draw for park-goers of all ages,” said Lake Compounce’s director of operations, Megan Major.

“Adding Titan Track to the coaster will not only enhance the ride experience but the steel tracking will also allow for easier maintenance on the coaster – allowing our team to ensure the ride can stay open longer to guests.”

In addition to the new Titan Track on Boulder Dash, Lake Compounce is upgrading its Potato Patch food stand to include a new ordering process and seating area.
