Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter has released a new trailer unveiling some of its sets ahead of the launch next week.

As well as the recently revealed Ministry of Magic and Diagon Alley sets, the trailer unveils sets at the new studio tour including the Great Hall at Hogwarts, Dumbledore’s office and Platform 9¾, which includes the Hogwarts Express.

The attraction in Japan opens on 16 June. Fans of the Harry Potter franchise will get to ride a broomstick, drink a Butterbeer, join the crowd at a Quidditch match, and shop for exclusive merchandise in the world’s largest Harry Potter store.

“In addition to fantastic interactive features, multiple photo opportunities and the world’s largest Harry Potter shop, the studio tour will exclusively showcase a number of incredible film sets that are one of a kind,” said Torben Jensen, the studio tour’s vice president and general manager.

Immersive sets and exclusive features

Tokyo’s Diagon Alley set includes the Weasley twins’ colourful shop, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes. Diagon Alley was first created for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

“Diagon Alley was really a showcase of prop-making, it was a joy to work on and see it come to life,” said Pierre Bohanna, head prop maker.

As for the Ministry of Magic set in Tokyo, this includes the ‘Magic is Might’ statue that was installed after the Death Eaters took over the magical community’s governing body.

The set will be dressed as it appeared in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part One, and guests will be able to pose for photos in the ministry’s giant fireplaces as Floo powder appears around them.

Meanwhile, Miral is launching a new Harry Potter-themed land at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi – a first in the Middle East. Universal’s Epic Universe is also thought to include a Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
