Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, will be exhibiting at IAAPA Expo Europe this month, where the team will be showcasing SaaS solutions, designed to help FEC operators boost revenue and improve the guest experience.
Europe is slowly transitioning to the point where cashless transactions are the norm. According to a 2023 study by the European Central Bank, 55% of polled card consumers prefer using cards or other cashless methods to pay, primarily because of convenience. Cash is still preferred by 22% of people because it makes keeping track of costs and managing finances easier. Embed, a cloud-based cashless solutions supplier for the entertainment, leisure, and amusement sectors, is prepared to fill this gap and position its customers for success.
More than 50% of customers in the UK alone have already used digital wallets for payment, and a third also use them to store their tickets or loyalty cards.
Transitioning to cashless solutions
“The Europe market is ripe to make the full transition from traditional to cashless modes of payment,” says Renee Welsh, CEO of Embed. “We are lucky to be at the forefront of this opportunity, to be trusted by the biggest players in Europe like Faro Games, Veltmeijer Group, Funstation UK, Planet Arcade, and more, and to cater to customers anytime with our partnership with Bandai Namco UK.
“Our SaaS solutions are designed to seamlessly transition customers to the cashless era, to provide a superior guest experience at their venues, dramatically improving their bottom line and lowering costs at the same time.”
In addition to Bandai Namco, Embed partners with digital giants like Apple, Google, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deploy and develop their solutions as part of their dedication to client success, using these businesses’ pilot technologies to examine how the most recent advancements may be used with FECs.
Mobile Wallet, STATS, and more
The Mobile Wallet has been available since 2019, yet it remains the only non-banking, non-finance, or loyalty brand to have received Apple and Google certification. There is no need to download any extra apps in order to use this virtual gaming card, as it sits in a consumer’s Apple Wallet or Google Pay.
The importance of SaaS solutions like the Mobile Wallet in increasing FEC revenue at venues both small and big was underlined by customers in this year’s metrics. The average Mobile Wallet reload value is $50.57, which is five times as much as cash and a huge increase over the previous average metric value of $31.95 reload value when visitors top up their gaming cards with a credit card. In addition, 60% of mobile wallet reloads occur off-site, before the customer reaches the FEC.
Thanks to safe mobile encryption technology, reloading on their phones shields visitors from the possibility of losing game cards and enables them to go big on top-ups.
Another Embed SaaS service is STATS, created with AWS, a data visualisation dashboard that aims to transform the way FEC operators evaluate reports. Through real-time data, STATS can assist operators in making smart business decisions about workforce numbers, scheduling, revenue forecasts, and even inventory. For accessibility, security, and low latency, its comprehensive dynamic visualised data reporting is designed with AWS’s global cloud architecture.
Meet the Embed team as it celebrates top FECs
The firm also offers its clients free, continuing assistance so they can get the most out of their Embed system. This includes Embed Connect (business review sessions between customers and that includes on-demand in-venue training), free marketing creative tools for them to use in their FECs, Embed Help Centre (24/7 DIY online training) and best practice sharing promotions and demand generation tactics from the best FECs in the industry.
Embed will soon announce its top 100 FECs list, recognising the best FECs in the world.
“These businesses vary in size and number of locations but have ONE thing in common. We’re excited to tell you what it is and who makes it to the list,” says Sara Paz, CMO at Embed.
Catch the Embed team at IAAPA Expo Europe from 26 to 28 September at the Messe Wien Exhibition and Congress Centre in Vienna, Austria. In addition to the award-winning Mobile Wallet and STATS, Embed will demonstrate a variety of its integrated hardware and software solutions, including KIOSK+ and TOOLKIT, and display gaming cards and wearable media at the Bling Showcase.
Earlier this year, Embed also showcased its SaaS solutions at the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement (SEA) Expo in Riyadh.
