The UK’s third Toca Social entertainment venue offering soccer-based games is set to open in the vacant Debenhams space at Westfield London.
Toca Social’s first venue debuted at The O2 in London in August 2021 and will be followed by a new location at Birmingham’s Bullring & Grand Central shopping centre next year.
Construction on the latest Toca Social experience in London is scheduled to begin next year, with Toca to transform an entire floor of Westfield London.
When the 35,000-square-foot space for competitive socialising opens, it will feature 25 playing boxes for interactive football games and two world-class bars.
Toca Social global expansion
“As the largest mall in Europe and a major entertainment destination, Westfield London is the perfect platform to launch what will be the highest capacity Toca Social in the UK,” said Alex Harman, president of Toca Social.
Scott Parsons, UK COO of Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), added:Â “Our strategy focuses on evolving and transforming our spaces in line with changing consumer demand, creating cutting-edge entertainment and retail experiences that are second to none.”
The new Toca Social is “the latest example of a URW partnership to repurpose a traditional anchor department store into a fresh and dynamic offer”, he added.
“Recent sales data reported that dining is up 21 percent and entertainment is up almost 36 percent at Westfield London – clearly an area that is booming for us now and one we expect to continue with the opening of Toca next year.”

Toca Social recently secured investment from England football captain Harry Kane, while England women’s captain Leah Williamson became a stakeholder in the company earlier this year.
Toca Football, a technology-enabled soccer training and entertainment company, has two divisions – Toca Social and Toca Soccer. The latter operates soccer training centres across North America.
Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield operates 75 shopping malls in 12 countries, including 39 with the Westfield brand.
