Firm now provides both retail and culinary services at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle

SSA Group, a best-in-class provider of integrated guest services, has announced that it is now providing retail services for the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) in Seattle. The firm, which took over the retail operations in early November, also provides culinary services at MoPOP.

Since expanding the partnership, SSA Group has enhanced the guest experience through strategic merchandising, transforming the existing fixtures into reimagined shops within the shop. This optimises guest flow and elevates the guests’ shopping journey.

Now, the company’s food and retail teams are working together to bundle food and retail throughout the museum.

In the coming months, SSA Group and MoPOP will be introducing self-checkout options and unveiling a modernised e-commerce platform, revolutionising the way guests shop at the museum. One of the local brands featured in the store is Sub Pop Records, a local record brand.

Earlier this year, SSA Group announced that it is now providing admissions services at the Riverbanks Zoo & Garden, a popular destination in Columbia, South Carolina, US that welcomes over 1 million visitors annually.

The firm was also recognised at Gifts & Decorative Accessories’ 72nd annual Retailer Excellence Awards for its work at Maryland Zoo. SSA Group won in the category of Store Design, thanks to its remodel of the Wild Things gift shop at the attraction in Baltimore, Maryland. For this particular project, SSA Group’s goal was to create an overall vibe in the shop that was captivating and engaging, and that also evoked emotion with a connection to the zoo and the surrounding Baltimore community.
