Multi-sensory experience

The Van Gogh Alive experience launched in 2011 following a two-year development process. By fusing music, technology, art, and scent, Van Gogh Alive offers a captivating, multi-sensory experience to a wide range of visitors.

Infused with colour and energy, Van Gogh’s artwork is ideally suited for an immersive experience that takes viewers to another world and offers a respite from the stresses of everyday life.

The artist’s enduring appeal and relevance come not just from the masterpieces he created, but also from his life story. His difficult mental health journey, for example, plays an important role in raising awareness around the issue.

Walls and floors are drenched in a symphony of colour as the artist’s renowned masterpieces are brought to life. The experience immerses audiences in the artworks, offering an unparalleled opportunity to explore Van Gogh’s legacy, life and era.

Van Gogh’s life in the Netherlands, Paris, Arles, Saint-Rhemy, and Auvers-sur-Oise is explored through over 3,000 images of his captivating artworks. These are skillfully projected from up to 40 projectors, and accompanied by an expressive classical soundtrack.

Visitors may freely explore without following a set path. As they encounter the intricacies of Van Gogh’s profound artworks from new viewpoints, they will undertake a journey of self-discovery while celebrating the artist’s life and brilliance.

Grande Experiences recently celebrated the largest display of Monet & Friends Alive in Southeast Asia as the experience opened at ICONSIAM in Bangkok. The venue had previously shown Van Gogh Alive from March to September.
