Connect&GO to return to the Olympics with Canada Olympic House

News
Connect&GO brings Konnect to Canada Olympic House

Connect&GO, a leading global provider of integrated technology and RFID solutions for the attractions industry, has revealed that in 2024 it will once again be bringing its technology to the Olympics.

The firm will contribute to improving the visitor experience at Canada Olympic House for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, under a new service provider agreement with the Canadian Olympic Committee. Connect&GO will use its innovative Konnect platform to ensure seamless experiences for visitors and guests in the hospitality space.

With this partnership, Connect&GO returns to the Olympics for the second time. The firm was also involved in the 2018 Winter Olympics, where it supplied RFID access control and cashless payment services for Canada House at the Olympic Village. The technology offered enhanced security through a photo ID, tracked capacity in real-time, and enabled standardised currency to be used for all cashless transactions on the site.

Enhanced guest experience

Canada Olympic House is a central meeting point for Team Canada athletes, their families, supporters, and visitors, and will be used throughout the Olympic Games. It is a comfortable environment for viewing the games, as well as hosting athlete appearances and live entertainment.

Connect&GO’s Konnect platform is central to this partnership. This integrated attractions management system includes access control, food and beverage, business intelligence reporting, RFID technology, and more.

At Canada Olympic House, this technology will facilitate multi-zone access control administration, real-time admission data, comprehensive real-time reporting, and the platform’s new integrated BI reporting tool. These functionalities will ensure smooth and efficient operation.

Jacqueline Ryan, chief brand and commercial officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee and CEO of the Canadian Olympic Foundation, says: “We’re delighted to collaborate with Connect&GO to help provide a seamless guest experience at Canada Olympic House. Canada Olympic House will be Team Canada’s home away from home this summer. This relationship will make it easy for us to open our doors to the world this summer.”

Connect&GO’s RFID wristbands will also be used by Canada Olympic House for a selection of visitors, which will enable them to simply tap to enter specific spaces.

Dominic Gagnon, Connect&GO CEO, comments: “We are honored to be a valued service provider for Canada Olympic House. We are committed to helping our clients leverage the power of integrated technology and real-time data to deliver exceptional experiences for their guests around the world.”

Earlier this month, Connect&GO announced a partnership with Wicked Waves Water Park & Cape Cod Inflatable Park in Massachusetts. This new collaboration will use the firm’s innovative, connected technology to modernise and simplify the attraction’s operations.

The firm is hosting a webinar which will explore its top features for waterparks on 28 February. A session in English will be held from 1pm until 1.30pm ET with Karen Ha, admissions and program manager at Roaring Springs Waterpark. She will share her experiences of using the firm’s solutions, including RFID technology, cashless payments and a fully integrated platform. Please click here to register.

A session in French will follow from 1pm until 1.30pm ET. Nadine St-Amant, president of Super Aqua Club. St-Amant will share her experience of implementing next-generation technologies at her waterpark. Registration is available here.
