Walt Disney Imagineering, the Disney Animation’s Creative Legacy team, and the Walt Disney Animation Research Library have collaborated to bring classic Walt Disney Animation Studios stories to life in the one-of-a-kind Signature Suites at the newly transformed Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris.

These immersive suites are based on the royal Disney Animation tales of Tangled, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. Guests can discover iconic elements such as Rapunzel’s glowing Sundrop flower, the Beast’s enchanted rose, and a version of Aurora’s dress that changes colour.

The innovative illuminated dress uses a specially developed fibre optic material that can transform from pink to blue.

The rooms are also home to artwork that draws inspiration from memorable moments and well-known Disney Animation film characters. The extensive collection in the Walt Disney Animation Research Library served as the basis for several of these pieces.

Walt Disney Imagineering collaborated extensively with Disney Animation to create each new artwork in the exact style of the film it represents, bringing to life the individuality and charm of each character.

More changes to come at Disneyland Paris

The new royal-themed Disneyland Hotel reopened in January 2024 following a two-year refurbishment. The updated hotel includes a regal-themed lobby and dining facilities. All 487 rooms and suites have been redesigned, too.

Disneyland Paris also recently launched its new Symphony of Colours programme, which includes the Electrical Sky Parade. This nighttime experience uses synchronised drones, lasers, video projections, lights and fountains.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris is to become Disney Adventure World when the new World of Frozen land opens. The rebrand is part of the ongoing €2 billion transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park, which will nearly double in size.

Imagineering is currently finalising the new land’s concept and design, and more details will be shared later.
