Bow Wow Blaster is billed as the world’s first water coaster for kids

Schlitterbahn New Braunfels in Texas has opened the new Schatze’s Storybrook Park, a children’s area with the world’s first water coaster for kids.

The new addition to the Cedar Fair-owned water park includes three mini lands with six new slides, a giant 1,200-gallon tipping bucket, and more than 70 interactive water features.

Also, the new area features extra seating with shade structures, as well as the new Schatze’s Shoppe.

“We have an epic season planned in 2024 with the addition of Schatze’s Storybrook Park and other great new amenities and experiences for our guests,” said Schlitterbahn New Braunfels’ vice president and general manager Darren Hill.

“These improvements to the park support our ongoing commitment to provide innovative, refreshing fun that brings families together to create lifelong memories and traditions that span generations.”

Schatze’s Storybrook Park features:

  • Bow Wow Blaster – the world’s first water coaster for kids is a small version the Master Blaster by WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer
  • Schatze’s Paw’nd – this land features the ‘Three Little Pugs’ body slides
  • Fur-Bidden Forest – this land is a family-friendly water playground with the giant tipping bucket, three body slides for kids, and interactive water features
  • Fairy Tail Trail – this land offers small slides and splash pads, as well as a character interaction with Schlitterbahn’s dachshund mascot Schatze

Mini lands at Schatze’s Storybrook Park

Schlitterbahn New Braunfels near San Antonio has 45 attractions across more than 70 acres. The park, alongside Schlitterbahn Galveston, was acquired by Cedar Fair in 2019.
