Unique AR karting experience continues to grow

Chaos Karts, an experience that combines state-of-the-art technology with real-time racing, made history earlier this year when it became the first augmented reality karting venue in the UAE. Building on the success of its first site in Manchester, UK, Chaos Karts is also set to open its second UK venue in London this year.

Without the need for real barriers, helmets, or driving suits, Chaos Karts, created by The Ents Inc., immerses racers in an exhilarating experience thanks to cutting-edge technology. Guests can “battle” their way all the way to the finish line with the help of useful in-cart power-ups, a fully functional and drivable electric kart, and a variety of track variations.

After opening its doors in AlQuoz, Dubai, last December, Rushd Mowjee, the brand partner behind the franchise site, said: “This futuristic project is set to take the city by storm, offering an exciting and immersive racing experience like no other.”

On 1 May, four highly anticipated new courses launched. Visitors can enjoy Blue Sky, a track inspired by visions of the South of France, and the Midnight in Tokyo track, transporting players to a neon-lit dreamscape of exotic street scenes. Meanwhile, the Venetian Carnival track bursts with the vibrant colours and scenes of La Serenissima, allowing guests to race through the iconic city on four wheels.

With the fourth new track, Chaos Karts pays homage to its hometown with a Manchester Bee-themed track, designed by the winner of the Design a Track competition, chosen by Sky Sport’s Formula 1 presenter Natalie Pinkham.

In response to consumer demand for additional features and challenges, Chaos Karts unveils intricate new configurations created by its creative team of projection mapping specialists. This state-of-the-art technology promises even more thrills and excitement, enhanced with new in-game power-ups.

As the experience comes to the UK’s capital, Tom Lionetti-Maguire, founder and CEO of The Ents Inc., says: “The new tracks are so incredibly beautiful and imaginative; they look more like pieces of art than something you might find at a video game attraction. But we have been inspired by the vast world of video games and the artistry that often goes into their creation.

“With every step forward and each innovation, we hope the world can see our ambitions for fusing live-action spaces and video games in our Games Arenas and doing it on an epic scale. This is just the beginning of an entertainment revolution.”

Chaos Karts was also recognised at the blooloop Innovation Awards last year, winning first place in the Game On! category and third place in the Experiential Technology category.
