BattleKart, an experience that combines a physical driving experience with dynamic AR projection mapping, has announced the opening of BattleKart Dubai, which marks the firm’s 31st location.
BattleKart Dubai is located in a newly-built venue in Dubai Investment Park 2 near the city centre, and provides an unparalleled gaming and karting experience.
Sébastien Millecam, CEO of BattleKart Entertainment, says: “Our franchisee in Dubai has put in a lot of hard work to fulfil what we aim to do at BattleKart: creating a whole leisure place to immerse the customers in a real-life gaming experience, like nowhere else.”
Reliable, profitable concept
BattleKart franchisee Yoann Michel has a proven track record of success, having launched three other locations in France (including Paris) before expanding to the UAE.
Michel comments: “Our location includes a huge track, a lounge bar with a view of the games, and a meeting room dedicated to corporate events and birthdays or other parties. We also provide food and customers can play in our arcade games area. We were sure that the attractiveness of BattleKart for Dubai’s inhabitants and tourists would be high: each day since our official opening party tends to prove we were right!”
Dubai’s facility is among the most state-of-the-art BattleKart locations. Panasonic VMZ projectors create colourful visuals across the 2,300 sqm playground and walls. The venue also features a modern lounge bar with panoramic views and full air conditioning.
Millecam says: “Our goal is to create a fully distracting place where children, teenagers and grown-ups forget about the daily grind and dive deep into a funny, accessible and emotions- generating experience, no matter how good they are at video games or driving an electric go-kart.”
In addition to welcoming groups of family and friends, all BattleKart venues also offer business events. Companies worldwide value the innovative concept’s ability to foster interactions and identify roles among teammates on the track.
International growth
BattleKart is proving successful across the world. The new Dubai location follows other locations in the Middle East, with a presence in Riyadh and a successful pop-up in Jeddah during the last Season. A new franchise also recently opened in Melbourne, Australia.
“Our first steps of franchising were made in Europe, which remains a huge market for us,” says Millecam, who developed BattleKart in Belgium in 2015.
“France, Germany, and very soon the UK, will host dozens of new BattleKart locations in the coming months. With Saudi Arabia, as with Dubai, we’re now proving that our immersive and reliable concept, our logistics and the quick profitable business model, which are our main assets, perfectly fit for the other sides of the world.”
Last month, BattleKart announced the global launch of its new BattleColor game mode. The environment and mood now have a Disco theme. The track has become a massive dance floor where players light up as many squares as they can to win the game.
