Imagine Exhibitions, a leader in worldwide travelling exhibitions and entertainment, is celebrating the success of Harry Potter: The Exhibition as it continues to tour worldwide.

The record-breaking exhibition was created and developed by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment in collaboration with Imagine Exhibitions and Eventim Live. Since its launch in Philadelphia in 2022, over 2 million visitors across the globe have enjoyed the spellbinding experience.

Upcoming South America debut

Harry Potter: The Exhibition is now entering its final few weeks in New York City, US, where the show is set to close on 11 August. The remaining run will include special events with “After Hours Nights” accompanied by cocktails or non-alcoholic drinks, and “Sensory Sundays”, which offer sensory-inclusive experiences delivered in partnership with KultureCity.

The exhibition will then continue its US tour and will open in Boston, Massachusetts, on 13 September.

Tom Zaller, president and CEO of Imagine Exhibitions, says: “Boston is rich with culture and history, making this a perfect stop for Harry Potter: The Exhibition on our US tour. I couldn’t be more thrilled to share this beloved exhibition with the fans and families of the Boston area later this fall.”

The exhibition is also currently on show in Europe at Kleine Olympiahalle in Munich, which is its first venue in Germany. In August, it will debut in South America at Ibirapuera’s OCA in São Paulo, Brazil.

Zaller adds: “This exhibition celebrates the extended world of Harry Potter like no other touring exhibition has done before. I have wanted to open in Brazil since we began planning and I am so happy to finally go on sale in São Paulo.”

Unique magical experience

The behind-the-scenes exhibition features the most beloved moments, characters, settings, and creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films and the extended Harry Potter universe. Visitors can explore beautifully crafted environments and get a close-up look at exhibits ranging from original costumes to authentic props, including items from the Tony award-winning Broadway production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Visitors receive an exhibition wristband upon arrival which drives a personalised experience through the magical surroundings and their best-in-class immersive design and technology. Visitors can choose a Hogwarts house, wand, and Patronus to create unique magical moments while collecting points in interactive games.

The exhibition’s immersive experiences range from the Portrait Hallway to the Great Hall with floating candles, Hogwarts classrooms, and the Quidditch pitch. The “Cupboard Under the Stairs” from Harry’s childhood home on Privet Drive, as well as Hagrid’s Hut with its giant chair, are ideal for photo opportunities. Vignettes and costumes add to the experience and make this the most comprehensive touring exhibition exploring the extended universe of Harry Potter, ideal for devoted fans or those new to the magic.

In addition, an exclusive range of Harry Potter: The Exhibition merchandise is available in the onsite store. Themed collections include products such as Chocolate Frogs and bottled Butterbeer as well as clothing and jewellery, which are only available from this exhibition.

Last month, Imagine Exhibitions announced extended runs of Downton Abbey: The Exhibition and Titanic: The Exhibition in Chicago, US, in response to popular demand.
