Six Flags is investing in its Hurricane Harbor water parks in LA and Arlington as part of a lineup of new experiences for its sites in 2025.
Hurricane Harbor in Arlington will unveil the largest expansion in its history next year with the addition of a coastal-themed area.
This is anchored by a 58,000-square-foot, multi-level play structure for kids with 110 interactive water features, seven waterslides and a 1,000-gallon tipping water bucket. Among the waterslides are a mini tornado slide and a mini wave slide.
New experiences at Six Flags sites
Also included in the expansion is a new self-play splash pad with 24 water features, as well as new family cabanas, oversized umbrellas, lounge furniture, refurbished restrooms, and a restaurant renovation.
Over at LA’s Hurricane Harbor, this park is undergoing a major transformation for its 30th anniversary. This includes expanded shaded areas, seating, cabanas and more amenities.
The park will be upgraded with colourful slide and structure refurbishments, added landscaping, and improved F&B options.

Elsewhere in the Six Flags portfolio, Six Flags Great America has announced plans to open a record-breaking dive coaster called Wrath of Rakshasa.
The company’s plans for 2025 also include the AlpenFury coaster at Canada’s Wonderland, an expansion for Carowinds’ Camp Snoopy, the Rapterra coaster at Kings Dominion, and the RiverRacers water coaster at Kings Island’s Soak City.
Additionally, Six Flags New England is opening the Quantum Accelerator launch coaster. On this ride, guests will enjoy 11 airtime moments.
