Disney World has confirmed a group of evil characters for its new villains land at Magic Kingdom in Florida.

The upcoming land at Walt Disney World is inspired by 13 villains, as revealed by Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney’s theme parks and experiences division, at D23 Brazil over the weekend.

“Their evil ambitions give us endless possibilities to tell new stories. This new land will be home to the villains you know and loathe,” said D’Amaro, via Entertainment Weekly.

13 villains to inspire new land

Disney villains to feature in the new land are the Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland), Jafar (Aladdin), Lady Tremaine (Cinderella), Yzma (The Emperor’s New Groove), Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians), Captain Hook (Peter Pan), Gaston (Beauty and the Beast), Mother Gothel (Tangled), Ursula (The Little Mermaid), Hades (Hercules), Chernabog (Fantasia), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), and both versions of the Evil Queen (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves).

As for the land’s storyline, D’Amaro said: “In our story, a mysterious spell has been cast, summoning villains from every realm. In this land, heroes don’t come to save the day – and there may not be a happily ever after!”

Magic Kingdom’s new villains land was announced in August at D23, Disney’s fan event in Anaheim, California.

“Since the beginning, our Disney villains have given us endless possibilities to tell new stories,” D’Amaro said at the time. “In this new land, you’ll see storytelling on a grand scale that only Disney can deliver.”

Also at D23 Brazil, Disney unveiled a new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar coming to Magic Kingdom next year. The company also shared a look at the Moana-themed float in the new ‘Disney Starlight’ nighttime parade debuting at the park next summer.
