Morgan’s Wonderland founder and CEO Gordon Hartman has launched the Morgan’s Inclusion Institute at IAAPA Expo 2024.
Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio, Texas is the world’s first theme park designed and built for people with special needs.
The new institute was created by Morgan’s – the Morgan’s Wonderland umbrella organisation – to share insights on how individuals and businesses can be more inclusive.
“With the launch of Morgan’s Inclusion Institute, we’re extending our mission beyond our ultra-accessible entities to inspire and equip others to foster inclusivity,” said Hartman.

“With Morgan’s Wonderland turning 15 in 2025, the valuable insights gained over the years equips us to help spark cultural change by setting a new standard of excellence in accessibility and inclusion.”
Key offerings of Morgan’s Inclusion Institute include disability inclusion training, resources to help organisations create welcoming environments for everyone, customised plans, project consultations and inclusion assessments, and ultra-accessible certifications.
“Morgan’s Inclusion Institute is designed to share valuable insights and best practices with businesses, organizations, nonprofits, government entities, and individuals eager to integrate inclusion and accessibility into every facet of their work and life,” said Brent Fields, CEO at Morgan’s.
“By connecting participants with experts from Morgan’s, the institute empowers learners to implement meaningful changes in their communities and industries, embracing what we call the ‘Morgan’s Way’.”
How to make spaces more accessible
Sharon Newhardt, director of inclusion and culture at Morgan’s, added: “This initiative makes work and life environments smarter, safer, and more inclusive.”
Earlier this year, Morgan’s Wonderland revealed plans for Morgan’s Hotel, which will be located near the park. This came after Morgan’s Wonderland’s largest expansion to date for the 2024 season, with a $6 million investment in new attractions.
Morgan’s founders Gordon and Maggie Hartman were inducted into the IAAPA Hall of Fame in 2023 for their visionary work in creating inclusive experiences.
