Cosm welcomes Alexis Scalice as VP of business development & entertainment

News

Scalice joins Cosm from Universal Live Entertainment Group and brings over 15 years of industry experience

Cosm, a global technology company that builds end-to-end solutions for immersive experiences, has announced the appointment of Alexis Scalice as vice president of business development and entertainment.

With over 15 years of experience in the sector and a track record of increasing fan engagement and creating creative, memorable visitor experiences, Scalice is an established leader in location-based entertainment and immersive experiences.

Live and location-based entertainment expertise

Scalice joins Cosm from Universal Live Entertainment Group where she served as vice president of worldwide location-based entertainment. In this role, she developed worldwide collaborations and led landmark projects such as Jurassic World: The Exhibition and Downton Abbey: The Exhibition. Her work experience also includes positions as senior director of worldwide live entertainment for NBCUniversal and director of guest experience at DreamWorks.

At Cosm, Scalice will use her extensive knowledge of live and location-based entertainment to build the company’s portfolio of revolutionary shared reality and immersive experiences. Her appointment represents a significant step forward in Cosm’s mission to change the way visitors engage with content by combining real-time innovation with cutting-edge entertainment.

In 2023, Scalice was named as one of blooloop’s Power 10 Immersive Influencers, demonstrating her capacity to lead at the forefront of the sector. Her significant experience in both branded entertainment and guest-centric design complements Cosm’s aim of creating unmatched locations for connection and storytelling.

Last month, Cosm shared that it has collaborated with the University of Nevada, Reno, the first land-grant university in Nevada and a Carnegie R1 research institution, to transform the educational experience within its Fleischmann Planetarium.

The George W. Gillemot Foundation Dome at the Fleischmann Planetarium is the first LED dome on a university campus. It will showcase a cutting-edge, 9-metre CX System LED dome display and pioneering immersive software, paving the way for a new era of experiential education and community engagement in Reno, the state of Nevada, and further afield.
