Monarto Safari Resort, a new luxury hotel at Monarto Safari Park in South Australia, is set to open on 28 May.
Located within an hour’s drive of Adelaide, Monarto Safari Resort provides 78 guest rooms and 20 luxury tents in the safari lodge, as well as a world-class spa, two swimming pools, and conference, function and restaurant spaces.
The multimillion-dollar resort will be managed and operated by Australia’s leading experiential tourism group, Adelaide-based Journey Beyond.
Guests will get to view native and exotic animals within metres of the new resort, and experience some of the world’s most iconic endangered species, such as southern white rhinoceros, cheetah, hippopotamus, zebra and giraffes.

The new resort also includes unique access to the Wild Africa precinct of Monarto Safari Park, including private tours, bespoke experiences on custom-made safari vehicles, and sundowner drinks and canapés while viewing animals as they explore the open plains.
The luxury hotel offers “breathtaking waterhole views and an unparalleled escape into nature’s embrace”, said David Donald, executive general manager at Journey Beyond.
“It’s more than just a hotel; it’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in authentic wildlife experiences,” he added.
A portion of the room rate for every stay at the hotel will be donated to Monarto Safari Park’s conservation programmes.

“Their extensive knowledge of regional tourism, coupled with a strong focus on sustainability and conservation, will ensure that the resort will become a premier destination for nature enthusiasts.”
Gerry Ryan, owner of Monarto Safari Resort, added: “Our mission has always been to offer guests an unparalleled experience that connects them with the natural beauty and conservation efforts of the area, and I am excited to see how Journey Beyond will bring this vision to life.”
