Aerial Illuminations, a leading provider of drone light shows, has announced the relocation of its corporate headquarters to a larger, 6-acre property in Orlando, Florida.
This move reflects the company’s dedication to serving the theme park and attractions sector, where demand for immersive, high-tech entertainment continues to rise, and will enable the recruitment of additional pilots and team members.
Drone shows tailored to theme park audiences
Previously based in Shakopee, Minnesota, Aerial Illuminations is one of the fastest-growing drone light show providers in the US and has quickly established a reputation for its music-synchronised drone shows.
Recent performances have included a 300-drone production at the Fun Spot theme park in Orlando and a 400-drone, multi-night event at Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach. During last month’s 4 July celebrations, it delivered shows in four states, including one for the City of Las Vegas.
Now, the company has made the strategic decision to establish its headquarters in Central Florida, an area renowned as an international hub for themed entertainment.
Niro Senanayake, president at Aerial Illuminations, says: “Our team fell in love with the energy of the Orlando attractions community. We’ve worked with parks and festivals that are pushing boundaries, and we’re excited to bring a new level of nighttime entertainment to this market and beyond.”
With over two decades of experience in sound, lighting, and live production, the company combines technical expertise with artistic skill to create drone shows tailored for theme park visitors. Each show is meticulously choreographed to music, with state-of-the-art drone formations and sophisticated flight control systems.
Safety is paramount. FAA Part 107-certified pilots lead all Aerial Illuminations shows, and productions include site surveys, airspace coordination, and multiple levels of pre-show review. The pilot team is accompanied by a dedicated creative director, chief pilot, operations team, and ground crew, who work together to deliver exceptional visitor experiences.
The expanding team thrives on partnership and works closely with entertainment managers and production staff to bring bespoke storytelling to the sky.
As Aerial Illuminations settles into its new Orlando headquarters, it is actively enhancing its footprint in live guest experiences with projects for theme parks, resorts, and entertainment venues across the US.
