The Piazza blends state-of-the-art slot machines with F&B and live entertainment

Regency Casino Thessaloniki in Greece has launched a new open-air gaming and leisure complex, described as Europe’s first gaming piazza.

The Piazza blends state-of-the-art slot machines with world-class dining experiences and live entertainment.

A stage for live performances offers DJ sets, stand-up comedy and street acts, surrounded by four gaming pavilions.

For the gaming pavilions, The Piazza has brought together three of the world’s leading slot machine manufacturers – Aristocrat Gaming, IGT, and Light & Wonder.

Via a press release, The Piazza is a unique destination in Europe, with a bold design and diverse calendar of events.

It combines cutting-edge gaming technology, cultural programming and an open-air environment that “could redefine the future of land-based casinos across Europe”, Regency Entertainment said.

“This unprecedented alliance of global innovators makes it both a European first and a benchmark for integrated leisure,” it added.

Regency Entertainment, a leader in Greece’s entertainment and hospitality sector, also operates the Regency Casino Mont Parnes complex in Athens.

In addition, the company is developing a new €300 million hospitality and entertainment destination in the northern suburbs of Athens, scheduled to open in early 2028.

The Piazza “brings together Aristocrat Gaming, IGT, and Light & Wonder for the first time in a single European venue”, said Yiannis Tsirikos, CEO of Regency Entertainment.

“We’re not just expanding our facilities – we’re creating a year-round entertainment hub that will attract visitors from across the region and establish Greece as a leader in the European leisure and gaming market.”

Elsewhere, new entertainment experiences coming to Las Vegas casino resorts include the US’ largest F1 Arcade location and a magic-themed speakeasy.
