Severn Lamb, a leader in the manufacture and supply of leisure, resort and amusement transport, has announced three new commissions in the UK, at Colchester Zoo, Marwell Zoo and the National Railway Museum.

Severn Lamb is celebrating a successful year of sales in Europe and North America, rounded off with three new commissions from popular UK tourist destinations. As a leader in the field, the company has supplied high-quality tailor-made solutions to clients in over 40 countries over the past five decades. Its latest clients are Colchester Zoo, Marwell Zoo and the National Railway Museum.

Flagship SL Land Trains

These three venues will be enjoying Severn Lamb’s flagship SL Land Trains.

Colchester Zoo is now home to a brand new 2019-euro 6 rated SL Land Train. Members of the public can enjoy this classic method of transport as it conducts multiple tours and stops around the zoo every day.

In addition to this, Marwell Zoo also has a new land train open for visitors, which moves zoo-goers around the site and is a striking colour. And finally, a smart new land train has also arrived to serve visitors at the National Railway Museum.

Severn Lamb is pleased with the new installations and is gearing up for a busy 2020 when it will be focusing on its ‘Green” Euro 6 rated land trains, as well as a full EV version.

“Working with Severn Lamb to purchase a new road train for the National Railway Museum has been a pleasure. Every stage of the process has been made easy, with regular communication and comprehensive updates, from the beginning of our tender process through to delivery of the vehicle. We’re really impressed with the quality of the product and Severn Lamb’s service,” says Mark Cutmore, Head Of Commercial Experiences, Science Museum Group

“2019 has been a great year.  We are proud to have supplied three high profile attractions in the UK and are excited about the introduction of our full EV road train and the benefits that can bring to the market in 2020,” says Matthew French, Sales and Marketing Executive, Severn Lamb.

Last year, Severn Lamb won the ‘New to Market Award’ at the Department for International Trade’s (DIT) Business Awards. This was in recognition of the bespoke ‘TUA Express’ steam outline locomotive which the company designed and manufactured for Duoro Azul Group in Portugal.
