Subscribers will get early access to Pine’s ideas, principles and frameworks

Author, speaker and management advisor Joe Pine has announced plans to write a new book on the “transformation economy”.

Tentatively titled The Transformation Economy: Guiding Customers in Achieving their Aspirations, the upcoming book will be written through a Substack subscription.

Subscribers to Pine’s Substack will follow his writing process live and get a first look at his ideas. Every paid subscriber who stays through to the book’s completion will receive a signed copy of the published book.

Additionally, Pine will be sharing articles on the transformation economy, as well as book reviews and tools that can be utilised by businesses. He will appear regularly on Zoom, speaking to subscribers about what he’s seeing, thinking and writing.

Early access to ideas and principles

Essentially, subscribers will have access to Pine’s ideas, principles and frameworks for the new book long before anyone else does.

“People have been asking me for over 20 years when I was going to write a full book on the transformation economy. My response was always twofold: I don’t know enough about transformations, and the world isn’t ready for it,” Pine said in an announcement.

“Those statements are no longer true. Customers increasingly recognize they need help in achieving their aspirations, and companies increasingly recognize the economic value they can create by getting into the transformation business.”

Speaking exclusively to blooloop, Pine explained his new concept: “There are a number of experience venues that are well-positioned to succeed in the transformation economy.

Joe Pine Experience Economy

“First and foremost are those having anything to do with health and wellbeing, such as spas, fitness studios, and all things immersive wellness.”

He added: “But any experience stager can and should think about how to make their experiences transformative, at least for those coming with a personal aspiration, even if it is just to have a better relationship with their family. How could you enhance the chances of that happening?”

The new book follows Pine and Jim Gilmore‘s seminal book on experience innovation, The Experience Economy (1999). This prompted global interest in experience design, customer experience management, and experiential marketing.
