The Premium Media Program, available for planetariums using Digistar, the most sophisticated planetarium system in the world, provides a cost-effective and adaptable means of gaining access to an expanding collection of fulldome content. Two new and captivating cinematic experiences, The Arctic: Our Last Great Wilderness and Back from the Brink – Saved from Extinction, are being added to the program, which already offers more than 40 award-winning fulldome events.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the experienced team at Cosm to bring these two awe-inspiring conservation films to a broader audience,” says Antonietta Monteleone, president of film distribution at Cosmic Picture. “We have been producing and distributing shows for a number of years and continue to look for ways to get these important films in front of as many people as possible, and this partnership with Cosm allows us this opportunity.”

Benefits of the program

With the help of Cosm’s Premium Media Program, users can effortlessly customise their annual programming, meaningfully interact with their local community, and access a vast array of exceptional immersive content.

Benefits of the program include:

Back from the Brink_film poster

Back from the Brink – Saved from Extinction is an immersive film that explores extraordinary true stories of animals rescued from the brink of extinction.

Viewers will encounter California’s charming Channel Island Fox, the world’s smallest canid, threatened by Golden Eagles in their only habitat, and witness the amazing migration of Christmas Island Red Crabs, thinned by the Crazy Ant invasion. The video then explores Yunnan, China, to find the mysterious Golden Monkey, one of the world’s most endangered primates in one of the most biodiverse and inaccessible places. Back from the Brink’s true and inspiring conservation stories give hope that our threatened world and its inhabitants can be rescued.

Meanwhile, The Arctic: Our Last Great Wilderness explores this vast, wild, and magical place in the far north of Alaska, where one of Earth’s greatest natural spectacles unfolds. Audiences can discover a region that has remained unspoiled and wild since the dawn of time—a world that very few people have had the opportunity to experience, as they join Florian Schulz, a National Geographic photographer, to find out why this unique location deserves to be preserved.

Last month, Cosm announced that it has been collaborating with Arizona Science Center, the leading destination for science and discovery in Arizona, for its redevelopment of the Dorrance Planetarium.
